'Deadpool 2' movie news 2016: Kyle Chandler and Mackenzie Davis eyed for Cable and Domino

The ending of "Deadpool" confirmed that the sequel would have Cable (a.k.a. Nathan Summers) making an appearance. Well, it looks like pre-production is going underway, and rumors are going around that "Friday Night Lights" actor Kyle Chandler is being eyed for the role of Cable. What's more is that "The Martian's" Mackenzie Davis is rumored to be tied to the role of Domino.
During an interview with Meet The Movie Press, Jeff Sneider sheds some more light on the casting for Cable. He said, "People were talking about Cable from 'Deadpool 2.' There's been a name floating around for Cable for months, hasn't changed, don't know if it's changed. Didn't make any calls about this. This was just the name that has been out there for months. So take this with a gigantic grain of salt. The biggest grain of salt your tiny little brain can imagine. The name that is floating around for Cable right now is Kyle Chandler."
He then goes on to say that the film is also looking to cast Domino and that Domino will be the "scene-stealer" of the movie. The name he dropped was Mackenzie Davis, a Hollywood up-and-comer. As of now, she stars in AMC's period drama "Halt and Catch Fire," and she has also been cast in the upcoming "Blade Runner" sequel.
Though Cable has had a long history with Deadpool in the comics, Domino has not met the same popularity as he has. Domino (a.k.a. Neena Thurman) is a member of the X-Force (not to be mistaken with DC's Task Force X/Suicide Squad). The team was originally lead by Cable, and they are pretty much like the X-Men, only more militant and aggressive.
"Deadpool 2" is reportedly in its early pre-production stage, and shooting could most likely start early next year.
