'Deadpool 2' spoilers: New and returning villains teased

The actor told Express Online that although "there's no reason why it would not happen," he thinks that there are a lot of exciting characters that can be pitted against the Merc with a Mouth in "Deadpool 2."

"By the same token, there are so many great characters in the Marvel Universe already that it would be a shame to bring me back when they have all these wonderful guys they could call in," Skrein said.

In an interview with IGN, the actor nominated Taskmaster as the villain for "Deadpool 2." Explaining why the character would be the perfect big screen nemesis for Reynolds' Deadpool, he said "he's a hilarious character."

"And he looks so cool, you know? The skull head, the hood, and his superpower is he can copy anyone's fighting style; can you imagine that visually?" Skrein mused.

"He's a mercenary like Wade Wilson but he's a mercenary without morals. The only redeeming factor of Deadpool is his morals, right? Taskmaster does not have those morals so he backstabs and stuff like that," the actor explained.

Skrein also thinks it will be "funny" to see Deadpool and Taskmaster together in "Deadpool 2." As exciting as Skrein's suggestion sounds, it would be a challenge for Fox to bring Taskmaster in as he is said to be owned by Marvel at the moment.

With regards to Ajax returning, Skrein said that his character could come back in future "Deadpool" sequels, if there will be any. After all, his character returns from the dead in the comics.

In the first "Deadpool" film, Deadpool shot Ajax in the head in his final attempt to stop the killer mutant, who doesn't appear to feel pain, making him almost impossible to kill.

Apart from Ajax and Taskmaster, actor Evan Peters, who played Quicksilver in "X-Men: Apocalypse," also wants to be in on the fun. The actor suggested to The Wrap a Deadpool-Quicksilver team-up.
