Dell new 2-in-1 Inspiron laptops unveiled: Includes world's first 17-inch device
Multinational computer technology company Dell has finally unveiled new laptops to the public. They have added three new models to the Inspiron laptop series which include the premium 7000 series, 5000 series and 3000 series.
According to a report by The Verge, the Texas-based company launched during the Computex 2016 trade show the Inspiron 17 7000 2-in-1, which is deemed as the world's first 17-inch 2-in-1 laptop. With just a starting price of $899, the laptop comes with a special infrared camera to support the Windows Hello feature of Windows 10.
Fans who are interested in picking up the laptop can choose from two other size options as Dell also offers 13-inch and 15-inch versions of the Inspiron 7000. The Jakarta Post detailed that all of the versions are incorporated with aluminum design, 6th Gen Intel Core processor, infrared camera, FHD, Waves MaxxAudio Pro audio software and 802.11ac wireless.
The listing in Dell's official page also cited that the device comes with a backlit keyboard and has a 12GB Single Channel DDR4 2133MHz memory and 1TB 5400 rpm hard drive. The video card placed inside is a NVIDIA® GeForce 940MX 2GB GDDR5.
China.org.cn detailed that the Inspiron 2-in-1 is designed to be a like a notebook with a versatile 360-degree hinge, which permits users to fold a laptop and utilize it as a tablet. It also lets users position it like a tent if they want to watch a video. The device is basically made to be portable and useful wherever the user may be.
As noted in The Economic Times, vice president of Dell Consumer Product Marketing Ray Wah stated: "With our new Inspiron 2-in-1 lineup, customers can work where they need to and play when they want to. Whatever you can create or imagine, you can achieve it with the 2-in-1 laptop best suited to your needs."
The Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 will be available at Dell's official website and retailed only at Best Buy in U.S. stores and its online site.
