Upcoming stealth action-adventure video game "Dishonored 2" is coming to town soon and fans who have been waiting for the sequel are already excited to play what developer Arkane Studios has prepared for them.

As detailed in Polygon, "Dishonored 2" will be offering its players an option to play Royal Protector Corvo Attano, or Emily Kaldwin, the princess from the original game that Corvo saved when she was only 10 years old. Emily is now all grown up and is an assassin herself, all thanks to Corvo's protection and training.

The game will be set 15 years after Emily was saved but forcefully removed from her position as the empress by main villain Delilah. Delilah first appeared in the game's downloadable content (DLC) packs, "The Knife of Dunwall" and "The Brigmore Witches."

A gameplay trailer has also already been released featuring Corvo and his fighting skills as well as Delilah and her evil, dark reign in Karnaca. It showed a sneak peek of some of Corvo's capabilities like the Blink skill which now allows gamers to pause time. "Dishonored 2" is basically going to be about Corvo and Emily bringing Delilah down and restoring Emily place as a royal.

But there are rumors going around saying that Corvo could end up dead as soon as the game finishes. It may seem uncommon since Corvo is a protagonist of the game but the theory originates from Twinfinite wherein it pointed out that most of the footage shown for the sequel focuses on Emily.

Arkane Studios may have intentionally made it that way to ensure gamers get used to playing Emily. The franchise could then proceed with Emily as the main protagonist and completely erasing Corvo out of the picture. None of the details are official so it's best to take them with a pinch of salt.

"Dishonored 2" is set to be released Friday, Nov. 11, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
