'Dishonored 2' release news, update: Both characters are voiced; mods still not confirmed

Action-adventure stealth role-playing video game "Dishonored 2" is set to be released sometime in November this year. But since it's still a few months away, fans' curiosity about some of the important details of the game continues to grow. Fortunately, not everything about the sequel has been kept a secret.
Creative director Harvey Smith spoke to GameSpot in an interview and revealed some information about the game characters. He said that the second installment of the "Dishonored" series will be different from the original in terms of the playable characters. Aside from the fact the sequel will have two, Corvo and Emily, both will also be voiced. Corvo did not speak in the first game so fans who played "Dishonored" will have to welcome this new change.
Smith also explained why developer Arkane decided to add voices. He said that by giving voices for both Corvo and Emily, the second game will be "warmer" and a lot easier to traverse. It will also allow the players to become more invested emotionally in their stories and the world in general.
Arkane had first experimented with voice acting with the "Knife of Dunwall" DLC when they gave character Daud a voice with the talent of "Reservoir Dogs" actor Michael Madsen. They were able to use it as a ground for training and found out what they want to add in the next game. While some gamers did not respond well to the voiced characters, Smith admitted that he was happy about the changes.
"It makes the game warmer, it gives you more clues, it's easier for the level designers. You really understand who they are," Smith said.
Meanwhile, the questions about mod support continue on. According to reports, there is still no confirmation about the inclusion of mods so that gamers will be able to create their own missions, assets and areas to share with friends. Smith commented about the inquiry through his Twitter account, saying that there is still no word about it. But if he were to decide, he said he would love to have it.
"Dishonored 2" will be released to PS4, Xbox One and PC on Nov. 11.
