The "Dragon Ball Super" manga is finally getting an English version. Publisher Viz Media announced the good news during the Anime Expo 2016.

It comes as little shock to many who have been following the company since it already released the first two chapters of the "Dragon Ball Super" manga in English end of last month.

The "Dragon Ball Super" manga will be released in spring 2017. It begins shortly after Goku's battle with Majin Buu and retells the "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods" movie.

Although the "Dragon Ball Super" manga is getting an English translation, there is no news regarding its anime counterpart with regards to an English dub.

However, it has been announced earlier this year that Toonami will broadcast an English-dubbed "Dragon Ball Super" anime around this month or the next in Asia.

"We're imagining it will be around July/August—not too much longer to wait," the network said on Twitter to a fan who asked when the "Dragon Ball Super" anime will get its much-awaited English dub.

Despite the target date already here, there's hasn't been any updates about the development of this project. There is also no word as to when the English dub will reach North America.

The only anime with an English dub coming to Toonami is "One Punch Man" season 1, which was also announced by Viz Media during the Anime Expo 2016.

"Dragon Ball Super" is now in episode 51, and is in the middle of one of its most acclaimed arcs yet—the Future Trunks arc, which sees the said character go back in time to get the help of his friends from the present in saving the future from being completely destroyed by Black Goku.

Episode 51 of "Dragon Ball Super" will center on the love story of Mai and Trunks. Future Trunks will share stories to Goku and the others on how he and the love of his life met as all of them prepare to go to the future to stop Black Goku.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 51 will air Sunday, July 10 at 9:30 a.m. JST on Fuji TV.
