'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' release date: game to feature DJ Steve Aoki as character

Role-playing video game "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is just a few months away from its release. Fans are already excited to hold on to their playing gears and play the second installment in the series.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, will reportedly debut on Oct. 25 in the U.S. and will be available to play on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Its European release will follow three days after. The PC version will also be released on Oct. 28.

Bandai Namco has posted the trailer for the upcoming fighting role-playing game as well. Fans can check it out on Bandai Namco Entertainment America's official YouTube channel.

And for gamers who are big fans of electro house musician Steve Aoki, they are in for a treat as Bandai Namco confirmed that he has agreed to a special collaboration for the game.

"Having grown up with Dragon Ball, I jumped at the chance to contribute my talents and leave my personal impact on the series," said Steve Aoki, a Grammy-nominated DJ and producer.

The official website of the publisher noted in a report that the world renowned EDM DJ contributed his musical talents to the company in order to bring awesome musical depth and brand new dimension to the whole gaming experience.

DJ Aoki will remix a selection of popular musical tracks that came from the "Dragon Ball Z" universe. These include fan favorites "Cha-La Head-Cha-La" and "We Gotta Power." Aside from his music, he will also be featured in the game as a character. However, he will not be a playable character. Gamers will only be able to interact with him in the game's brand new hub city which is called as the Conton.

Reports said that the new city will allow players to freely explore. There are also a couple of new characters that will be added into the game, while the classic characters like Piccolo and different versions of Goku are expected to appear again.
