'Fallout 4: Far Harbor' DLC release date update: Bethesda Softworks announces May 19 launch; what to expect in the new content
"Far Harbor," the third and the most-anticipated DLC coming to "Fallout 4," will go on sale on May 19, Bethesda Softworks has confirmed. The developer released a trailer embedded below to go with the announcement.
The title of the "Fallout 4" DLC is also the name of the mysterious island terrorized by a hotchpotch of creatures exuding various levels of creepiness. It also happens to be the place where a missing girl, who players will have to save, has been exiled in.
The "Far Harbor" DLC promo teases that it will be ripe of murder, betrayal and dreadful creatures. The clip also shows that in the new "Fallout 4" content, the residents of the land will go through unthinkable lengths to keep and protect the island.
"Far Harbor" is billed to be the largest DLC to hit Fallout 4." It is bigger than the "Shivering Isles" DLC released for "Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion," which is saying something knowing that this expansion pack is reputed to be the largest Bethesda ever came up with for the "Elder Scrolls" franchise.
The "Fallout 4" DLC introduces loads of new quests and missions as well as new characters (good and evil) and other settlements. In the DLC, players are given the choice to rebuild and restore peace in the place as they "navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople."
"Far Harbor" is the perfect place for "Fallout 4" fanatics to build up and advance their weaponry. However, in order to get the high-level armor, they will need to surpass the hellish beasts and the insane levels of radiation consuming the place.
"Far Harbor" DLC is priced $25 (£20). It is included in the "Fallout 4" season pass, which costs $50 (£40). In the last two months, Bethesda released the first and second DLC namely "Automatron" and "Wasteland Workshop."
