'Fargo' season 3 spoilers, cast news: Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Scoot McNairy join cast

The comedy-crime drama television series "Fargo" is moving on to season 3 and it's going to feature fresh faces.
The series is adding in more characters and latest reports revealed that the newest one to join the cast is "10 Cloverfield Lane" actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
TVLine detailed that she will be playing a character named Nikki Swango who is described as a "crafty and alluring" new parolee who enjoys playing bridge competitively. Other characters wouldn't want to mess with Nikki though as she is said to always be prepared and one step ahead of her opponents.
Aside from Winstead, "Fargo" creator Noah Hawley revealed that Scoot McNairy of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will become a recurring character in season 3. However, the details regarding his role are carefully kept under wraps. Fans will have to stay tuned to find out who McNairy will be portraying.
Both McNairy and Winstead will be starring alongside previously revealed cast members Ewan McGregor and Carrie Coon. Reports detailed that McGregor will have the dual role of look-alike brothers named Emmit and Ray Stussy. Emmit is the older one and he is described as the good-looking one. He is a real estate magnate who is packed with self-assurance. On the other hand, his younger brother Ray is a chubby parole officer.
He has some bitterness towards his older brother because he believes that Emmit is responsible for his miserable life. The series will be following their storyline but not much is known about how things will turn out for them along the way.
Meanwhile, Coon will be playing a woman named Gloria Burgle. She is the chief of the Eden Valley Police force and is known for her calm, level-headed character. More details will be unveiled soon.
"Fargo" season 3 is set to premiere sometime early in 2017.
