'Fast and Furious 8' release date, plot spoilers: Teaser features high-tech vehicle; Helen Mirren latest addition to cast

"Fast and Furious 8" isn't coming out until next year. But despite that, fans are already getting some heads up on what will be coming to the movie through some spoilers and teasers.

For starters, the movie is going to be packed once again with drool-worthy vehicles. The entire movie series has always featured awesome cars and the eighth installment is no exception. In a short video teaser released, it showed new director F. Gary Gray talking on the set he referred to as the toy shop.

He also mentioned in the video that the location is a "great contrast to Cuba" and it's filled with futuristic luxury cars that will be part of the film. He also enumerated some of it such as the new Bentley, McLaren, Maserati, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, and the vehicle he called as "the most technologically advanced assault vehicles on planet Earth." Aside from that, a race boat and a cherry red corvette were featured as well.

Apparently, a lot is in store for the next movie in the franchise and it's expected to top off the last one which included driving muscle cars out of flying airplanes.

Meanwhile, the latest addition in the cast has been revealed. In an interview with Elle, "Eye in the Sky" actress Dame Helen Mirren confirmed that she will be playing a role in "Fast and Furious 8."

But when asked if she will be driving a fast car in the film, Mirren revealed that she will not be having a scene that involves her being behind the steering wheel. She did admit though that she would have loved to do a driving part.

"I wanted to be driving, but unfortunately, I'm not," she told Entertainment Weekly. "Maybe that will come in the future, in 'Fast and Furious 12'," she joked.

"Fast and Furious 8" will premiere on April 14, 2017.
