'Fast and Furious 8' spoilers, plot news: No driving for Helen Mirren, Luke Hobbs in trouble
As much as she would have wanted to rock a muscle car or two, Helen Mirren won't be behind the wheel or doing some car chases in "Fast and Furious 8."
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the award-winning actress revealed the bad news. "I wanted to be driving, but unfortunately, I'm not," Mirren said.

"I'm probably one of the few people on the set who know how to drive a gear shift car. I doubt the Rock [Dwayne Johnson] knows," she joked, adding "But I do. I know how to double declutch."
Entertainment Weekly believes it will be a missed opportunity for "Fast and Furious 8" not to have Mirren drive. However, it seems that the plan is already set.
Last year, Mirren told Yahoo Movies that it is her "great ambition" to be part of the "Fast and Furious" franchise and that she wants to be a "mad driver" in a movie from the blockbuster series.
However, it won't be the case in "Fast and Furious 8." Her role in the film is yet to be revealed although it is rumored she will be of help to the Toretto gang.
Mirren will start filming this week. She admitted that she is "very nervous" in stepping into the set of "Fast and Furious 8."
"Because when you're going on to a set with people who have been doing this for [so long], basically, they all know each other," she said.
"They've worked together, they know what they're doing. I'll be, you know, the newcomer, the newbie," the actress continued.
Meanwhile, Johnson shared a new photo showing his character Luke Hobbs in handcuffs and prison uniform, which hints that he might get into some prison trouble in "Fast and Furious 8."
Disappointed that the search for MH370 has been called off. Especially if some experts think there are better places to look.

It is a mystery how Hobbs got in there, but it will surely be exciting to see how it all goes down.
"Fast and Furious 8" releases April 14, 2017.
