'Fear the Walking Dead' season 2 finale spoilers, update: Alejandro's immunity to be addressed; Nick will leave Colonia?
"Fear the Walking Dead" is closing its season 2 with intense last two episodes. A lot is expected to happen including a reveal on the real story regarding the immunity of Alejandro (Paul Calderon). Fans have been wondering if his claim of being immune to the bite of an infected is true.
As fans may recall, Alejandro said that he got bitten by one of the infected at the shoulder. However, instead of dying and turning into a walking dead, he survived the ordeal. His story has brought a lot of confusion and skepticism among fans but as told by showrunner Dave Erikson to Entertainment Weekly, they are going to address Alejandro's storyline in season 2.
"The truth of Alejandro and the question of faith is something we will play out over the course of the season, and we'll address it ultimately," Erikson said.
Nick (Frank Dillane) met Alejandro when he arrived in Colonia. Just like everyone else, Nick had his doubts regarding Alejandro's story. However, as divulged by Erikson, Nick's trust and faith in him led him to believe a father figure like Alejandro.
However, spoilers reveal that Nick is planning to leave Colonia. He will also be begging Luciana (Danay Garcia) to come with him. Unfortunately, Luciana is not in the same boat with Nick. She can't find it in her heart to just abandon Alejandro.
It seems like Luciana's decision will affect Nick and he might use drugs again. As revealed in the season finale promo, someone is having a drug session again. Although not seen who it was, it's speculated to be no one else but Nick.
The trailer video also teased Ofelia (Mercedes Mason) reaching somewhere. She was last seen traveling toward the U.S. border to look for her ex-fiance. Moreover, Travis (Cliff Curtis) will be crossing paths with Brandon (Kelly Blatz) and Derek (Kenny Wormald) at a hotel in San Diego. However, missing in action is Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie).
"Fear the Walking Dead" will be having a two-hour finale with episode 14 and episode 15 titled "Wrath" and "North" respectively. It will air on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 9 p.m. EDT on AMC.
