'Fear the Walking Dead' season 2 spoilers news: Alicia steps up after group split
When "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 returns, Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) will never be the same and will be further equipped for the world that is slowly being consumed by zombie apocalypse.
In the first season of "The Walking Dead" spin-off, Alicia hasn't made the best decisions and has been naïve and hung up to her old life but this will change in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2.
"We'll see a woman who really comes of age and hopefully regains her connection with her mother [Madison] and steps into more of an adult role," showrunner Dave Erickson told TV Line.
It will certainly be exciting to see a more mature in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2. Alicia's impulsive decisions might finally be a thing of the past when the zombie drama returns.
Just two of these mistakes she committed in the past that put her group in a precarious position include giving her group's location to a stranger and holding off her family for her boyfriend.
Debnam-Carey also opened about her character's more mature transformation in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, explaining that her being immature was partly because she was "kept in the dark."
"She's a teenager becoming a young woman, and that's really hard for Madison [Kim Dickens], who's trying to keep a sheltered teenager in a world that is so far from being normal," the actress told AMC.com.
"Alicia knows that if she keeps being treated like a child, it's going to get them in trouble," she continued.
Debnam-Carey knows that Alicia believes she should be treated like an adult and will act like one to help the group in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2.
When the drama returns on air, Alycia will really need to step up, especially now that Nick (Frank Dillane) has wandered off, Daniel (Ruben Blades) is gone for now and Ofelia (Mercedes) spiraling because of it.
In "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) and Nick will also reach a certain level of maturity just like Alicia.
