'Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward' patch 3.35 release date news 2016: To feature Palace of the Dead

Square Enix is set to release patch 3.35 for "Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward" soon. Schedule of release is this July 19 already and as announced, the update will be coming along with the Palace of the Dead content.
Also known as the Deep Dungeon, the new content is revealed to be way different than anything else in the MMORPG. It requires a group of friends to play too. Part of the official description reads: "In the subterranean city of Gelmorra, deep within a forgotten corner of Issom-Har, stout-hearted explorers have uncovered the entrance to a labyrinthine dungeon."
Game director Naoki Yoshida told Kotaku that Palace of the Dead will have its own progression system. It's also detailed that players must have characters that are already in level 17 or higher in order for them to enter. The twist though is that once they enter the fray, they will be starting back to level one.
Playing through the game and fighting off enemies will allow the gamers to move one level higher as well as to acquire better weapons and gear from treasure chests. It should be noted though that those weapons and gears will only be limited to the Deep Dungeon.
Moreover, Yoshida shared that there are 50 floors in the game and players can go as deep into the dungeon as they can. But they have to take note as well that each level has a checkpoint, which will cause loss of progress if defeated in a certain level that is not in the checkpoint.
The official blog of the game also detailed that some treasure chests explode. There are also special effects like boosting max HP and MP that will be given for every successful progression to a new floor. Special stone towers can also be found in the content as well as Phoenix downs. The former helps players revive members of the group that have been knocked out.
"Final Fantasy XIV" is available on PC, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.
