Gionee S6s v.s. Oppo F1s specs review: Which selfie smartphone is better?
Selfie-focused smartphones are quite the hit among the youth today. That is why Chinese smartphone manufacturers Gionee and Oppo each developed devices that would meet all the selfie needs of the youngsters. Oppo has the F1s while Gionee recently launched the S6s.
Right now, the two companies are competing to have the best new selfie-centric smartphone. According to reports, the two devices have several similarities. Both have prices that are under Rs. 18,000, with the Oppo variant priced at Rs. 17,990 and the Gionee model priced at Rs. 17,999.
Both brands can be purchased via Amazon and several other offline stores. The two also sport the same display size at 5.5 inches. The difference, though, is that the Gionee S6s comes with a full HD display while the Oppo F1s only has an HD display. This makes the Gionee device a winner in this area as it will provide a sharper and brighter display for the photos that users take.
It's also noted that the devices differ terms of the operating system they use. The recently released S6s is more updated, as it is packed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Meanwhile, its competitor carries Android 5.1 Lollipop. In terms of the hardware specs, the S6s is powered by a 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor while the F1s has a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor.
It's a tie in terms of RAM count, where the two has a 3 GB RAM,and in terms of their native storage space, where both has 32 GB of memory and can be expanded up to 128 GB. As for the camera features, it is noted that the Oppo F1s wins with its 16-megapixel front-facing camera which has an f/2.0 aperture, ISOCELL technology, and wide-angle lens. It also comes with a feature called Beautify 4.0 and supports full HD recording.
On the other hand, the Gionee S6s features an 8-megapixel selfie camera with a LED flash. The Oppo device is said to take great photos, but it is still to be known if the Gionee variant can match up to the Oppo quality.
