'Girl Meets World' season 3 release date news: June two-part premiere announced

As what have been announced before, "Girl Meets World" season 3 in a two-part special titled "Girl Meets High School." Now, these episodes finally get an air date.

The first part of the exciting premiere special will air on Disney Channel on Friday, June 3 and the second part will air on Sunday, June 5 both at 8:30 p.m. EDT.

"Girl Meets World" season 3 follows the members of the gang as they make their way to the zigzagging lane of high school, where bigger challenges and changes will test their friendship as well as themselves.

One of the most anticipated parts of "Girl Meets World" season 3 is the resolution of the love triangle among Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Lucas (Peyton Meyer) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter).

The writers of "Girl Meets World" have been hinting on Twitter that what the three have is not a love triangle. They teased a twist will get this storyline all tied up in "Girl Meets World" season 3.

Showrunner Michael Jacobs also hinted back in March to The Wrap that there's more to the said love triangle than meets the eye. "We will resolve it in a way that shows an answer to a much bigger question," he said.

He then detailed that there's a bigger picture involved in this love triangle, and promised that when it will be solved, these questions will be asked. "How do young people at this age perceive relationships? What is the value of them? And what are our friendships, really?"

"If the audience perceives that what we're talking about is 14-year-olds in love, they have missed what we're doing entirely," he continued.

Four episodes of "Girl Meets World" season 3 will be reserved for the love triangle. Two of these are the two parts of "Girl Meets Ski Lodge."

It will be further addressed by "Girl Meets Triangle" and will be ultimately wrapped by "Girl Meets Upstate." The writers tease that "Riley, Maya, Lucas all find a relationship."

"Girl Meets World" season 3 will also follow the gang as they make adjustments and discover more things about each other and adjusting to them.
