'Girl Meets World' Season 3 spoilers news: Makes a major callback to the original 'Boy Meets World'

In the latest episode of "Girl Meets World," Riley (Rowan Blanchard) spent the entire night talking to a boy that she met at the ski lodge. With the love triangle between her, Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), and Lucas (Peyton Meyer), viewers would think that the episode would center around her and the other two — but it didn't. Instead, they got a callback to the original series, "Boy Meets World."

According to The Wrap, the latest episode pretty much mirrored exactly what happened to Riley's father, Cory (Ben Savage) when he was at the ski lodge back when he was Riley's age. Back in that episode, Cory spent the entire night with Lauren (Linda Cardellini), a girl he had met at the ski lodge, and he even kissed her, much to the dismay of his then girlfriend, Topanga (Danielle Fishel).

It seems that the same thing has happened to Riley. She meets a boy that she likes (that isn't Lucas), and realizes that they have actually had a nice time. The difference is that Riley is in a love triangle, unlike her father who was already in a relationship back then.

This could mean that the love triangle can resolve itself naturally. Lucas will ends up with Maya, and Riley will see where things go with Evan (Curran Walters).

Fans have been speculating that something big would happen in the ski lodge, but nobody expected that Riley would find herself in the same position as her father. Others are going so far as saying that the ski lodge is actually cursed.

Will Riley be able to salvage her relationship with Maya and Lucas? Or will the episode see the end of the trio's friendship?

Part two of "Girl Meets Ski Lodge" airs on Disney Channel on July 29, Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
