'Girl Meets World' season 3 spoilers: Nostalgic episode coming; Linda Cardellini to cameo?
American television sitcom "Girl Meets World" is all set to return to Disney Channel for its third season. And just as what the spoilers revealed, the stars of the show, Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), Lucas (Peyton Meyer), and Farkle (Corey Fogelmanis), are all going to transition into high school life.
As stated in a report by TVLine, the gang will be saying goodbye to middle school and welcoming high school. However, it's not going to be a breeze especially for best friends Maya and Riley as they both know that high school is a whole new world and it can potentially take them apart.
In the premiere clip released, Riley is seen telling Maya that they should always stick together. Their pinky promise didn't last long, though, as a sea of students walked between them, separating them from each other. Meanwhile, Farkle is hanging from the chandelier, which means fans should be expecting lots of fun in the upcoming season.
A nostalgic episode is also coming its way to the show. According to a tweet by actor Rider Strong, he will be returning to the series as a director. He also mentioned that he will be working alongside his brother. But more than that, the very thing that had fans curious about is his announcement about returning to Mountain Sun Lodge, the ski resort where Cory (Ben Savage) cheated on Topanga (Danielle Fishel) in one of the episodes in "Boy Meets World."
It seems like the couple will be having a trip down memory lane along with their kids. It's not known yet what they will be doing there, but Zap2It suggests that a cameo from Linda Cardellini, the star who played as Lauren, the girl whom Cory cheated with, would be a good idea.
Fans will have to stay tuned to find out more. "Girl Meets World" season 3 will premiere on Friday, June 3, on Disney Channel.
