'Girl Meets World' upcoming episode to resolve love triangle; nostalgic return to the ski lodge

The next episode of Disney's "Girl Meets World" is said to resolve the ongoing love triangle between Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), and Lucas (Peyton Meyer).

According to The Wrap, the next episode will be called "Girl Meets Ski Lodge," and the three will try to resolve the ongoing fissure that's sprung up between them. If Lucas were to pick Riley, Riley would still want the friendship between the three of them to stay the same, but then again, Maya can have a bad side, and it would prove to be devastating if she didn't get her way.

E! News noted that the Ski Lodge actually has a nostalgic factor to it. In the original "Boy Meets World," Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) had one of the roughest moments in the show's run, with Cory finding a deep connection with Lauren (played by Linda Cardellini). Lauren kissed him, and he let it happen, making things sour for him and Topanga.

In a clip from E! News, Mr. Matthews is seen preparing his class for the ski trip, and he recalls the things that transpired there during his adolescence. He says, "The ski lodge was almost the end of Cory and Topanga, America's sweethearts, and now I know something's going to happen there for you, so I'm preparing ya. For nature."

The event at the ski lodge proved to be a traumatic one as it has left its mark on the Matthews household. Riley explains, "Those were very bad times for Cory and Topanga. But everything's fine now except we can't ski ever, or say ski, or walk downhill."

The episode will be a two-parter, and fans of the show can be sure that important things are going down in that ski lodge.
