Fans of the action-adventure video game series "God of War" have one thing in common and it's the question of when the fourth installment of the game will be available for playing. Unfortunately, until now, there is still no official announcement regarding its release. Rumors have spread though that it may be unveiled this June.

According to reports, Santa Monica Studio and Sony Computer Entertainment may attend the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) to present to the audience the much-awaited "God of War 4." The video game conference is going to take place this coming June 14 to June 16 so there's only less than two weeks left until details for the game will be released.

There is no confirmation to this but it can be possible since reports say that Santa Monica Studio previously promised that they will start working on their next game once they finish the remastered version of the "God of War 3." Now that the remastered version is done, fans are now just looking forward to seeing the fourth installment.

Gamasutra also noted a hint of the possible commencement of the game development. Sony's Santa Monica Studio has opened different job positions in their company to work together in their next big game. There's no word on which game it would be but "God of War 4" is on the top of the speculated list. They are looking for 50 developers, which may also indicate that the game is truly going to be a big one.

Meanwhile, there are reports saying the protagonist of the game, Kratos, will no longer be featured. News Everyday detailed that since the last game ended Kratos' mission and significance, he may be removed to bring in fresh content for gamers. The rumor garnered mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing disagreement and others welcoming towards a new god.
