'God of War 4' release date news, updates: Fall 2017 launch expected; no mini game included
Upcoming third-person action-adventure video game "God of War 4" still has a long way to go before it could be available for play. While details are kept under wraps for now, there are several reports going around the web regarding what to expect when it hits store shelves.
According to reports, "God of War 4" will be having some changes to its story plot. From Greek mythology, the new installment will be moving to Norse mythology. It will still follow the adventure of protagonist Kratos, who is a Greek mythology hero and a Spartan warrior who was betrayed by his former master, Ares, the god of war.
In "God of War 4," Kratos will be cutting his ties from the gods and start plotting his revenge against Ares for his betrayal. Aside from that, he will also be mentoring, guiding and protecting his son. Kratos is defined to be a dedicated father, giving his child tough love to help him build up the necessary characteristics of a warrior.
Other changes that gamers can expect is the combat system. Creative director Cory Barlog teased that the game will be a having a more fast-paced action.
Details regarding the combat system is not revealed but it is speculated to be offered in a brand new package. It is also said that the upcoming title will no longer be featuring the usual sex mini game. "God of War" gamers know that the mini game involves two ladies in a corner. Kratos will then have intercourse with them, which will in turn give a reward of extra Hit Points and Mana.
Developer Santa Monica have already discussed about the mode and they have reached a decision to remove the mini game, which has been around already since the first release in 2005. While rumors had said that the game would only have a total of 100 hours gameplay, this information has been debunked already, which means "God of War 4" is expected to be longer than that.
There is no specific date yet for the release of "God of War 4" but it is predicted to arrive sometime in fall 2017. Nothing has been confirmed yet, so it's best to take this one with a pinch of salt.
