The folks over at Techconfigurations created a three-dimensional version of the renders of the handsets released by Android Police to give users a better look at the Google Nexus 2016.

According to the video, the Google Nexus 2016 smartphones will look slim and sleek. One design detail that BGR finds odd is the large piece of glass slapped on the back of the handsets.

Such design choice appears to be a bit outdated and was a thing for older devices. Other than that, BGR believes that the smartphones are promising.

With regards to the specifications and features of the flagships, it is expected that the Google Nexus 2016 duo will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor announced by Qualcomm last week.

The only device set for release with the said chipset is the ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe. Although it is a mystery for now if Google will go for the new processor, it won't be a shock if it went for the Snapdragon 820 processor instead.

Set to be made by HTC, the Google Nexus 2016 devices are codenamed Sailfish and Marlin. The former is expected to sport a 5-inch full high-definition display while the latter will be bigger at 5.5 inches.

The handsets are expected to both come in at least 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The Marlin handset is expected to come in a bigger amount of RAM, around 6 GB to be exact.

The Google Nexus 2016 devices are expected to debut the Android 7.0 Nougat. With regards to the release date, some reports hint that they will be unveiled as early as next month.

There are also rumors that Nexus fans will have to wait until September to see the handsets in the flesh, which is not that too far away.
