The premiere of "Gotham" season 3 is fast approaching and loyal viewers of the crime television series are already excited to catch new episodes.

But before it could even air its first episode, spoilers have already surfaced ahead of time. As detailed in a report, season 3 will delve deeper into the identity of the mysterious Court of Owls which was first introduced in the season 2 finale.

Apparently, the Court of Owls plays a very big role in the city of Gotham. They seem to be the ones responsible for the untimely death of Bruce Wayne's (David Mazouz) parents. He will find out that this secret society is the one funding the out-of-this-world experiments of Hugo Strange (B.D Wong).

In season 3, Bruce will cross paths with the people behind the group. With a heart of vengeance and justice, he is planning to get rid of them for good. It has also been teased that Bruce will speak to Selina Kyle (Carmen Bicondova) and urge her to be cautious with the Court of Owls.

Bruce wants to investigate the society more but in order to do so, he will need to keep Selina away to protect her. The latter will be disappointed at Bruce as if she is not worried about her own life. Spoilers revealed that Selina and Bruce's connection goes beyond that of friendship. Over time, their relationship will grow deeper.

When the series returns, fans can expect more villains to appear. Ben McKenzie, who plays Jim Gordon, teased that there's going to be a Mad Hatter, who supposedly has a connection to "Alice in Wonderland." Aside from a lunatic villain and an older Poison Ivy, Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith) will be back.

"Gotham" season 3 will start airing on Monday, Sept. 19, at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
