Polyphony Digital's upcoming racing video game "Gran Turismo Sport" made an impressive appearance during Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016. Fans were treated to a sneak peek through a new gameplay trailer that featured some of the things that gamers can expect from the game.

As detailed by CNET, "Gran Turismo Sport" is the game after "Gran Turismo 6" which was released back in 2013. Fans are still waiting for the seventh installment but the "Sport" edition is something that many are also looking forward to playing. It serves as a preview for what to expect in the next major release.

"Gran Turismo Sport" will be available to play on PlayStation 4. This means that there will be a big graphical upgrade and some tweaks to the game's physics engine. The game will also feature a total of 140 cars, which is actually fewer count compared to the predecessors. However, the decrease in the cars will not be a problem at all. After all, the game is an interim release.

There will be 19 different tracks and a full livery editor. There will also be a photo mode featuring 1,000 racing locations. Gamers will be in awe with the visuals as they have been greatly designed with photo-realistic scenery and beautifully rendered cars including the interiors. Auto Blog noted that even the lighting effects are striking, especially the one in the Tokyo circuit.

As for the online gaming, CEO of Polyphony Digital Kazunori Yamauchi revealed in an interview that the game will have dedicated servers. It will only be limited to the "Sport" mode though. It will permit up to 20 players and will provide maintenance over the connection quality to bring consistent level as well as overall fairness while racing.

"Gran Turismo Sport" will be released on Nov. 15 in North America and Nov. 16 in Europe. Fans should stay tuned for more updates.
