'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 spoilers: Meredith to find new love; To date Alex and Nathan?

Medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" is moving on to its season 13 and though it has not premiered yet, fans are already getting some heads up to what may possibly take place in the new season.

The previous season left off with Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) hooking up with Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson). Even though she initially thought that she has not moved on yet from her late husband Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey), she realized that she can move forward already.

But will Meredith and Nathan even work out? "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 is expected to brew some problems for the newfound romance. For starters, Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) has the hots for Nathan and she thinks Nathan feels the same way for her. But the smooching of Meredith and Nathan at the hospital parking lot proves her wrong.

"I think she's going to be crushed," McCreary told TVLine when asked about the possible reaction of Maggie once she finds out that her half-sister slept with her new crush. A love triangle is also predicted to happen, which means the relationship of the sisters may get a little crumpled. It's still to be known if Meredith will give Nathan a chance or if she will shut him down for the sake of Maggie.

Henderson spoke to Melty and he said that he hopes his character gets in trouble in the next season. He shared that he likes "getting in trouble." However, he has no idea yet on what's in store for his character in the next season.

Meanwhile, there are rumors going around saying that Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) is a potential love interest for Meredith. The two are the only characters left as the original residents at Grey Sloan Memorial, which is why many are assuming that the two will end up together. Executive producer Betsy Beer told E! News that she understands where the fans are coming from but as of now, they will have to stay tuned to see where the two's relationship will lead to.
