'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 spoilers, plot news: Owen and Riggs finally reconcile? Mysteries about Owen's sister could be revealed

Fans might finally see Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Nathan (Martin Henderson) resolve their differences in the highly-anticipated "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.

In fact, in the previous season of "Grey's Anatomy," they have already taken the first step towards reconciliation. Nathan was invited to Owen and Amelia's (Caterina Scorsone) wedding, which is definitely a big deal.

Owen had nothing but pure contempt and revulsion towards Nathan the moment the latter became his newest co-worker in Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Seeing the guy's face every day was brutal for Owen.

The two can't be in the same room together without throwing jabs and insults. Thankfully, this might no longer be the case in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Henderson promised that the situation between the two will be much better than the last season. However, he said it is still volatile enough should Nathan make another mistake.

"In season 13, it looks like that relationship is going to be healed â€” until I do something silly," Henderson said with a launch. "From Nathan's point of view, he's really wanting to bury the hatchet and actually move on," he continued.

With that said, fans might see Nathan take further steps to make peace with Owen in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13. It remains a big mystery if Owen will do the same.

Reconciliation between the two means that more details about the root of their bad blood will be unravelled in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.

It all started when Nathan cheated on Owen's sister Megan when they were on duty overseas. Megan hasn't resurfaced yet so there's still more to this Owen-Nathan peacemaking.

Apart from their feud, Nathan and Owen have their own problems in the love department as well in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.

Owen begins his life with Amelia while Nathan learns the price of hooking up with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo).

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 premieres Thursday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
