'Grimm' season 6 spoilers, plot news: Nick gets 'vicious' transformation

Nick (David Giuntoli) will be in his darkest come \"Grimm\" season 6. | NBC/Scott Green

Even though the Black Claw is gone, Adalind (Claire Coffee) and baby Kelly are still in serious danger. This is why in "Grimm" season 6, Nick (David Giuntoli) will do whatever it takes to keep his family safe.

During the Armageddon Expo in New Zealand, Giuntoli teased what's next for his character when "Grimm" returns for a new season.

"I anticipate Nick is going to be very vicious in season 6," the actor teased the audience at the convention. "He was very vicious in the finale of season 5. He turns," he continued.

He also revealed what the writers have planned for Nick in "Grimm" season 6, especially with regards to superpowers, which he got a truckload of in the previous season, although Giuntoli said these abilities "tailed off" as the show continued.

"I think they want to take Nick to—I don't know about superpowers—but I know they want to turn him into a fierce, aggressive, kind of unhinged character, so that will be really fun to play for me," the actor teased.

It remains a mystery as to how Nick's dark side will come about in "Grimm" season 6, but it is likely that his family (and getting them out of harm's way) will be a factor.

In the previous season, Nick was face to face with Renard (Sasha Roiz), who, thanks to Diana's (Hannah R. Loyd) witchy powers, stabbed the Black Claw leader to death.

Renard is believed to be the big bad for "Grimm" season 6, with his search for power worsening. It is believed that he will take advantage of the death of Black Claw's head.

It is speculated that Renard will get the credit for ending the mysterious organization's horrific grip in the fear-stricken Portland and claim to be Nick's savior.

"Grimm" season 6 will pick up from that scene and it is expected that there will be a big melee between the two.

"Grimm" season 6 is slated to premiere this Fall.
