'GTA 6' release date latest news: Game not launching anytime soon; to be set in Manila?
The video game series "Grand Theft Auto" ("GTA") has recently been surrounded by speculations regarding the production of the franchise's next installment, "GTA 6." Fans have been eager to know more about this but game developer Rockstar Games has remained mum about it until now.

Some rumors are saying that the franchise might step away from the streets of the United States and move to an international location.
One of the latest speculations concerning the location of "GTA 6" is that the game could potentially take place in Manila, Philippines. According to GTA5cheats, a site that speculates about and analyzes potential international settings for the game, Manila can be a good venue due to its possession of the features players loved in the previous game — but this time presented in a different way.
Apart from Manila, it is also theorized that "GTA 6" may use either the streets of 1960s London as the setting of the game.
However, these are just speculations and Rockstar Games has not said any word about their plans for the franchise. It is still unknown whether the game would veer away from the U.S.
Meanwhile, a lot of fans were left disappointed when the game developers did not make any announcements regarding the game at the PlayStation Meeting held last Wednesday, Sept. 7. Many were anticipating some word of "GTA 6" after a rumor, which stemmed from a tweet, circulated online and implied that Rockstar Games will make a big announcement at the said event.
While some believed the rumors, there are folks from iTechPost who think that an official statement about "GTA 6" is highly unlikely to be released anytime soon. This is considering the habit of the developers to release the game in 4-to-5-year intervals.
Based on the reasons presented by the publication, the next installment of the franchise should be released in 2018 since "GTA 5" rolled out in 2013.
