'Haikyuu!' season 3 release date news: Launching this October; Hinata's team to continue fighting the Shiratorizawa Academy

Fans of the hit volleyball anime will be pleased to hear that the third season of "Haikyuu!" will be hitting the small screen this coming October.
According to MNR Daily, the anime is currently undergoing production, and the third season will pick up right where the last season left off.
The anime follows the story of Hinata, a short-statured boy who dreams to make it big in the sport of volleyball. Though his height may prove to be problematic in going against teams with taller opponents, Hinata works hard enough to compensate, and has trained himself to jump higher and strike faster. He's also an endless ball of energy, so taller opponents can eat the dust when it comes to matching his stamina. He also draws inspiration from his hero, Small Giant, and he's not letting his height of 164.2 cm get the better of him.
Hinata also had hopes of defeating the King of Court, Tobio Kageyama, but fate had a different plan when it put Hinata and Kageyama in the same team. Hinata has since put his rivalry for Kageyama aside and has focused on their team dynamic instead.
The last season saw the intense fight of Hinata's team against the Shiratorizawa Academy, and it seems that season 3 will see more of the team going against Shiratorizawa. Hall of Fame Magazine reports that an official teaser has been released for the third season, and it is titled, "Haikyuu! Karasuno Koukou vs Shiaratorizawa Gakuen Koukou."
The release of the anime is still two months away, but for fans who can't wait, the "Haikyuu" manga is still ongoing, and is currently at 215 chapters.
The third season for the anime adaptation of Furudate Haruichi's incredibly successful volleyball manga, "Haikyuu!" will be released this coming fall.
