'House of Cards' season 5 rumors: Claire plans taking over presidency; Frank gets killed?

Political drama series "House of Cards" will be airing its season 5 soon. But before it could make its way to Netflix, fans have gone through spoilers and theories ahead of time.
According to reports, "House of Cards" season 5 may have a new president. This time around it could be a woman, though. Before the previous season closed, it showed Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) leading the Democrats in the presidential elections.
But ever since rumors spread that Frank will not last long in the upcoming season, a woman president will reportedly take over, and it's none other than Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) herself. Claire always had her eyes fixed on the power, and given Franks' situation, she knows that she can easily overpower her husband.
Fans may recall that Frank was almost killed, and it resulted in liver damage. He went through a liver transplant, and because of his condition, he may be asked to step down from his position. But will Frank even let that happen? There's also the theory suggesting that Claire will kill Frank. At this point, viewers are aware of what Claire can do.
She has cheated and betrayed Frank several times already, so it will not be a surprise anymore if she is scheming a plan to murder Frank. Moreover, rumors have it that Spacey will exit the series.
Nothing has really been confirmed or announced though so it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt. While it's still uncertain if Spacey will indeed leave, reports say that showrunner Beau Willimon will be dropping out of the Netflix hit after four seasons.
Willimon said that his time with the show has come to an end, and he is now ready to move on to "new endeavors." The showrunner is actually the one who initiated to bring the original British material to the American audience.
The premiere date for "House of Cards" season 5 has not been announced, but it's expected to air sometime in 2017.
