HP's new Windows 10-powered device is all set to be released on the market soon. Dubbed as the Elite X3, the smartphone will be rolling out by the end of the month. However, for residents in the United States who are planning to buy straight from the company, the device will appear in HP's U.S. website a little later.

According to reports, the Palo Alto-based tech company announced that the Elite X3 handset will be available on the U.S. website starting Sept. 5, exactly a week after the release of the $799 bundle containing the phone, a desk dock, and premium headset.

Another report detailed that pre-orders have already opened for Australia, U.K., Sweden, and Netherlands, and the products will start shipping on Aug. 29. This leads to some of the consumers wondering if Sept. 5 will be the date that pre-orders will open or if it will have immediate shipping. Those who are interested will have to wait and see.

As for the specs and features of the upcoming device, it's detailed that the HP Elite X3 is a 3-in-1 smartphone. With a 6-inch WQHD AMOLED display and a business-oriented Windows 10 Mobile operating system, the device is both a high-end phone and phablet. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection and is said to be IP67 certified, which means it is dust and water resistant.

Under the hood, one will find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with 4 GB of RAM and a native storage of 64 GB. It also features a 16-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera.

It's also packed with an iris scanner and features Microsoft Continuum support. The mobile device can also be accessorized with the Mobile Extender "Lapdock" which is described as an "empty" laptop shell that transforms the smartphone into a laptop. A stylus is also included.
