A backpack that can carry devices and charge them while on the go now exists. Multinational information technology company HP is the one that made it happen, and they call it the Powerup Backpack.

According to reports, the backpack is engineered with the capability of charging devices multiple times anytime and anywhere. And though it may appear like a standard backpack, there is more to it than meets the eye.

It's equipped with a massive 22,400mAh battery capacity which the company claims to provide a full charge to most HP laptops. Aside from that, it can also charge a tablet up to three times and a smartphone up to 10 times. One must take note, though, that it cannot charge all three devices at once. But with that amount of extra power on hand, no one will be low in battery power while they're outside.

The bag, which is made of canvas fabric, also features ventilated pockets and a built-in heat sensor that monitors and adjusts the temperature. These particular features help in keeping the devices not too hot while charging as it will stop when things get too warm.

It can also prioritize charging, allowing users to opt to charge a smartphone first before charging a laptop or vice versa. Moreover, the Powerup Backpack also comes with HP's 19V 4.5mm or 7.4mm barrel connectors.

Non-HP laptop users will need to have better luck next time as the backpack does not come with a plug for Macbook and XPS. Also, the only operating system that is compatible with the bag's USB micro cables is Android. This means that iOS devices will have no room in the mobile charging backpack.

It's also noted that HP has made sure to develop a backpack that will be able to endure the outside world. In the product promo video released, it was mentioned that the outside of the bag is made with durable materials, and it has reinforced handles and straps to efficiently accommodate all of the devices. A rain cover is also provided for wet days.

The HP Powerup Backpack is set to be released on Sept. 14 with a retail price of $199.99.
