HTC Desire 630 price revealed; specs include 5-inch display, 2 GB of RAM, 13MP camera

Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC was busy introducing new products during the Mobile World Congress 2016 in February. One of the devices that they made public is the latest in their Desire line, which is the HTC Desire 630.

According to reports, the new handset is now available for sale in India. It can now be purchased via retail stores as well as in HTC's online store with a price tag of Rs. 14,990 or $222. Those who are interested to pick up the device must know that it's a budget smartphone with specs and features that are pretty good for a mid-ranger.

As detailed in the company's product listing, the HTC Desire 630 sports a 5-inch HD Super LCD display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. It is equipped under the hood with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.6GHz, paired with 2 GB of RAM. Its inbuilt storage is 16 GB, which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card slot.

It also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, BSI sensor, LED flash and 1080p video recording feature. On the front is a 5-megapixel camera with BSI sensor and 1080p video recording capabilities as well. Photo editing features installed include Google Photos and Photo Editor.

Powering it up is a 2,200mAh battery pack with smart power saving mode. It is also pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped with HTC Sense UI and supports Dual SIM.

It offers the basic connectivity options which include Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4 GHz), GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB and 4G LTE. Audio experience is enhanced with the HTC BoomSound with Dolby Audio Profile and the HTC Extreme Fidelity earphones.

Color options available are Graphite Grey Remix and Stratus White Remix. Both variants flaunt a unique pattern that makes the smartphone appear more appealing. Buyers will also get a lanyard and a two-piece snap case.
