Huawei's sub-brand Honor is rumored to be prepping up to launch a new smartphone in the market. Dubbed as the Honor 8, the device is said to hit store shelves by next month.

A report suggested that it will be officially unveiled on June 25. It will then be launched at a press conference which will take place on July 5 and will be available for purchase by July 12. However, none of the information has been confirmed directly by the Chinese tech firm so it's best to take it with a pinch of salt.

The device is said to be a downgraded version of the recently released Honor V8 but the difference from each other isn't very far. The Honor 8 is rumored to sport a 5.2 inch Full HD display that supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It's a few inches smaller compared to the Honor V8 which carries a 5.7-inch display.

Under the hood of the Honor 8 is Huawei's own Kirin 950 or 955 SoC paired with 4 GB of RAM. Rumors also have it that there will be four variants available. All will carry the same RAM count and screen size.

The first variant is the most inexpensive which will have a 32 GB storage capacity and will have a price tag of 1,999 Yuan or around & $302. The other one will have a 64 GB storage space and will cost 2,199 Yuan or around $332. The third one will carry 128 GB storage space and will be priced at 2,499 Yuan or around $378.

The fourth variant is said to be the top-end model which will feature a 5.2-inch QHD and pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440. It will be equipped with 4 GB of RAM with 128 GB storage. Its expected price is 2,799 Yuan or around $423.

Other rumored specs include a 12-megapixel dual rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, 3,200mAh battery, fingerprint sensor and USB Type-C port.
