Huawei Mate 9 release date, specs news: Dual Leica cameras, multiple colors, 5.9-inch display expected
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei is undeniably climbing up the ladder fast with their latest mobile devices and they have no plans of stopping as recent news say that a Huawei Mate 9 is coming soon.
Huawei's next flagship device is rumored to come out before the year ends. However, there is no official announcement about it yet, so fans will have to keep watch for more updates regarding the release date.
Legit details about the purported device are also carefully kept under wraps right now, but reports say that new leaked renders have surfaced courtesy of a Weibo user named ichangezone. The Chinese social media user posted photos of the device in various colors, suggesting that buyers will be getting a lot of options when Mate 9 comes out.
The alleged available colors are brown, gray, silver, gold, black, pink or rose gold. This is not far from possible as the Huawei Mate 8 came in gray, brown, silver and gold. Black and pink or rose gold are only the new shades added.
The leaked renders also revealed that the Mate 9 will be sporting dual Leica cameras. As seen on the images, the Leica brand name is engraved on the back of the device between the two sensors. It's not much of surprise, though, since Huawei and Leica just recently renewed their partnership.
Moreover, it is said that the camera at the rear is 12 megapixels and will have a dual LED flash and laser focus. The front will get an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. It can also be noted that a fingerprint sensor is located below the dual cameras.
Other rumors suggest that the Huawei Mate 9 will be featuring a 5.9-inch QHD display with a metal body. It is likely to run with Huawei's upcoming HiSilicon Kirin 960 64-bit processor which is said to be packed with eight core. A whopping 6 GB of random access memory is expected, although there will be a 4 GB variant.
