Huawei Mate 9 rumors, leaked specs: To feature rear dual cameras with Leica optics, Android 7

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei is expected to release a new device called the Mate 9. And though there are no official details available for it yet, several leaks and rumors have surfaced ahead of time.
According to reports, latest leaks suggest that the Huawei Mate 9 will be packed with a dual rear camera arrangement. It's also said to feature Leica optics just like the Huawei P9 device which is famous for its striking and colorful image captures.
But it is said that the Mate 9 is integrated with its own distinct feature. Unlike the P9, P9 Plus, and Honor 8, the dual rear camera of the purported upcoming handset is said to come with optical image stabilization. Rumors even claim that the stabilization that it will be having is similar to Apple's iPhone 7 Plus.
The difference, though, is that Huawei will utilize one color sensor and monochrome while Apple will choose two color units. As for the other specs and features, reports say that the Huawei Mate 9 will be sporting a 5.9-inch display with 1080p resolution.
It is said to be equipped under the hood with the upcoming in-house Kirin 960 chipset with an octa-core, 2.6GHz, and 4 GB of RAM. Other sources cited, though, that it could come with as much as 6 GB of RAM.
It's also said to come with Mali-T880 graphics processing unit and will have a native storage space of 64 GB. A microSD card slot option is available for memory expansion. Moreover, word has it that the device will be running with the Android 7.0 Nougat topped with the EMUI 5. It will be featuring a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.
There is no word regarding the release date yet, but it's anticipated to come out just before the year ends. As of now, none of the details released are official or confirmed, so it's best to take reports with a pinch of salt.
