'Injustice 2' release date: Gameplay, 2 characters to be revealed at SDCC

"Injustice 2" is one of the most highly anticipated games set to be presented in the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con. During the convention, big reveals about the game are being prepared.
IGN looks forward to some gameplay footage to be shown off. Flash gameplay is expected to be shared at the event since the scarlet speedster is believed to be playable in the game.
Two characters are also expected to be revealed at the SDCC panel for "Injustice 2." One of them, according to reports, will be The Joker.
According to a NeoGaf member, the fact that NetherRealms creative director Ed Boon cited the "Flashpoint" and "The Killing Joke" comics as references for "Injustice 2" hints that The Joker will be a big part of the game.
It won't be a shocker to see the Clown Prince of Crime in the game since he was in the original fighting game. He is also too much of an iconic DC Comics villain to forgo.
It is a mystery if Green Arrow will be back for "Injustice 2" although IGN believes that he won't miss out on the highly-anticipated sequel.
Meanwhile, Boon also teased the possibility of Blue Beetle being added to "Injustice 2." In a poll survey, he asked fans which among Captain Cold, Blue Beetle and Swamp Thing should be added in the game.
Gamers ultimately chose the time-travelling superhero although Boon has not followed up on his official addition to the game yet.
"Injustice 2" features the largest roster of DC superheroes and super-villains ever offered. Battles are set in iconic locations such as Gotham City, Atlantis, Metropolis and many more.
On the game's panel at SDCC on Friday, July 22, new features and the newly-added customization options for the much-awaited fighting game will be showcased.
"Injustice 2" releases for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017.
