iPad mini 5 release date, specs rumors: Tablet to launch September with improved processing, graphics performance and design

The iPad mini 5 will reportedly be launched this September, with some sweet upgrades from its predecessor, the iPad mini 4.
As per reports, the upcoming iteration of the iPad mini will be housed in a 7000-series aluminum chassis, which means that Apple can make it thinner and lighter, but also more durable.
Apple has been called out for making its smartphones too slim that they tend to bend. With the 7000-series aluminium set to be used on the iPad mini 5, sturdiness won't have to be given up.
With the design front taken care of, Apple will also make an effort to upgrade the iPad mini 5 from the inside. It is being reported that the tablet will be powered by a faster processor.
The iPad mini 5 is expected to house A9 processor, the latest system-on-chip (SOC) from Apple. The last-generation iPad had the A8 processor so this should definitely be a big upgrade for the tablet.
The same processor was used on the iPhone 6s and Apple bills it as the "most advanced chip ever in a smartphone." The tech giant from Cupertino promises "a new level of performance and efficiency" with the A9 processor.
For the iPhone 6s, the A9 processor boosts the processing performance by up to 70 percent with the graphics performance up to a whopping 90 percent. The same can be expected in the iPad mini 5.
The tablet could certainly take advantage of the power of the A9 chipset to churn out stellar graphics performance that makes for "richer and more immersive" app and gaming experience.
Unless Apple whips up a brand new processor, the iPad mini 5 could do with the A9 processor and should promise amazing tablet experience.
Meanwhile, the iPad mini 5 is also expected to sport an 8-megapixel rear-facing snapper and a 1.2 MP front-facing camera. It is also believed to come with the 3D Touch technology.
The iPad mini 5 is set to be introduced this September, a year after its predecessor was unveiled. It is expected to have the same 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage configurations.
