The release of the iPad Pro 2 is still at the top of the rumor mill and until now, fans are wondering if it will ever come out before the year ends.

According to rumors, there is a possibility that the iPad Pro 2 will come out sometime later this year. It's speculated to be launched in the fourth quarter together with the MacBook Pro 2016. However, other reports suggest that the successor of the iPad Pro tablet will be delayed to the first quarter of 2017.

As of now, nothing is certain yet. Even the specs and features of the device are unknown. There are several rumors circulating around, though, suggesting that the purported iPad Pro 2 will be coming in a slimmer and lighter design with three different screen sizes. One is a 12.9-inch while the other one is a 9.7-inch. The latest addition is the 10.5-inch option. Each version is said to come with a True Tone feature.

It's also said that the tablet will be made as water and dust resistant just like the recently released iPhone 7. Moreover, rumors claim that the 3.5mm audio jack will also be ditched just like in the iPhone 7. Under the hood, one will be able to find the powerful A10X processor along with advanced graphics technology.

Reports also mentioned that the device will be carrying along with it an improved Apple Pencil which will be functioning with a new software. Owners will be able to make use of the stylus in many of the applications including the Safari browser, emails and iMessage.

Additionally, the iPad Pro 2 is said to feature a 3D touch just like the ones found in the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. It will sport a 12-megapixel iSight camera with True Tone flash and 5-megapixel FaceTime HD camera that is also capable of capturing 4K videos.

None of the details released are official, so it's best to take them with a pinch of salt. Fans who are looking out for the iPad Pro 2 will have to stay tuned for more updates.
