iPhone 7 vs. iPhone 7 Plus specs review, comparison: Which new model is better?

Apple is making a lot of buzz lately after the launch of its newest flagship devices, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Although the two look virtually identical to both the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, the new iPhones carry with them their own distinct features and specs.

The question now is which of the two should consumers buy? What are the differences between the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus? According to reports, the devices differ in terms of the size, camera, battery as well as the price.

Just like last year's models, the iPhone 7 Plus is bigger than the iPhone 7. The former sports a 5.5-inch display with 1,920x1,080 pixel resolution while the latter features a 4.7-inch display with 1334x750 pixel resolution.

In terms of the camera features, both carry a 12-megapixel wide angle camera. However, the Plus model has a second 12-megapixel sensor with telephoto lens, which allows users to capture sharper images of subjects even from a distance. It also comes with a zoom feature of up to 10x.

It is also noted that both devices are equipped with A10 Fusion with 64-bit architecture, M10 motion coprocessor. The difference is the RAM count. The smaller version will have 2 GB of RAM while the bigger version is said to carry 3 GB of RAM. Both will perform impressively though since the A10 Fusion is deemed as TSMC's newest and most powerful chip.

Moving on to the battery, it is detailed that the iPhone 7 can last up to 12 hours of internet use on LTE while the iPhone 7 Plus can live up to 13 hours of internet use on LTE. Both have a Touch ID sensor and are water-resistant with an IP67 rating.

Basically, the iPhone 7 Plus is a winner because of its more advanced camera features, battery life and display size. If none of these specs really matter, then getting the iPhone 7 will be a good choice. The starting price of the iPhone 7 Plus is $769 while for the iPhone 7, it is $649.
