'Jessica Jones' season 2 air date, news: No miraculous recovery for Jessica; Frank Castle to appear?

There's still a long way to go before fans can lay their eyes again on Krysten Ritter in her titular role in "Jessica Jones." But that doesn't stop them from getting new updates for "Jessica Jones" season 2.
According to reports, the new installment of the series will be seeing a lot of changes. One thing will remain though and it is the wounds of Jessica's past. Fans may recall that Jessica went through a lot before the first season closed.
She was abducted, raped and even held hostage inside her own body. Her abuser, Kilgrave (David Tennant), has caused so much trouble that even though he has been kept away already, the effect on Jessica will remain the same.
Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg spoke to Esquire and she divulged some more details about what to expect in season 2.
"She was kind of messed up even before Kilgrave came along and so in Season Two we can explore what's possible for her moving forward," Rosenberg said. It's also hinted that there will be no miraculous recovery for Jessica. "That trauma is a huge part of who she is now," Rosenberg added.
Meanwhile, there are rumors going around saying that Frank Castle or the Punisher (Jon Bernthal) will be appearing in the upcoming second run. The Punisher is set to have his own solo series but he may be just stopping first in "Jessica Jones."
Nothing is confirmed yet but Jessica and Frank could be crossing paths in one of Frank's journeys. But it's expected that their meeting is going to be a violent one.
There is also still no word yet on who will be the next villain of the series but Rosenberg previously revealed that the show will be having more than just one antagonist.
"Jessica Jones" season 2 is set to premiere sometime in 2018.
