"Jessica Jones" season two is still a long wait away for the fans, but it looks like Jessica's (Krysten Ritter) best friend, Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor), is gearing up for some action scenes. Could this mean she's going to appear in the Marvel Netflix crossover of "The Defenders?"

Taylor posted a video of herself on Instagram doing some training with a punching bag. Fans of the comic will know Patricia "Patsy" Walker for her superhero identity, Hellcat, and "Jessica Jones" has already showcased just how far Trish's martial arts skills could go. It's not entirely far-fetched that "The Defenders" will see Trish finding herself in the same ranks as Daredevil (Charlie Cox) or Luke Cage (Mike Colter).

In the comic "Ultimates" by Mark Millar, Patsy was actually a member of the Defenders. Hank Pym, after being kicked out of the Avengers (the Ultimates in the comic), decides to adopt another superhero identity as Ant-Man, and he finds a group of street-level heroes called the Defenders consisting of the likes of Valkyrie, Power Man, Son of Satan, and of course, Patsy Walker a.k.a Hellcat.

If Trish isn't coming to "The Defenders," fans can still expect her to pop up in the second season of "Jessica Jones" which might find its way to Netflix sometime in 2018. As of now, Netflix has a had a two-shows-per-year policy when it comes to Marvel series, and next year will find the streaming service airing "Iron Fist" and "The Defenders." Shows like "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones," and the Jon Bernthal-centric "Punisher" have been pushed aside in order to focus on the shows that are coming out in 2017.

Fans of Hellcat can still be hopeful that Trish will come back soon, even if it isn't for "The Defenders."

The second season of "Jessica Jones" will most likely come to Netflix in 2018.
