'Jurassic World 2' news: More dinosaur breeds to emerge, creatures to wreak havoc in the city

Some of the most unforgettable parts of the "Jurassic World" movie are the terrifying new breeds of dinosaurs featured in it. The latest reports hint that "Jurassic World 2" is bringing more species of these creatures into the mix.

In the film, it was suggested that other folks other than Dr. Henry Wu's (B.D. Wong) group can make dinosaurs. This was taken to mean that someone out there could create dinosaurs if they wanted to and if they had the means.

Even worse, if such knowledge and resource fall into the wrong hands, there's likely going to be disaster. "Jurassic World 2" might play with that idea since it was somehow foreshadowed in the first film.

Although there will be new types of dinosaurs to meet and scare moviegoers in "Jurassic World 2," there will also be familiar ones although they will be getting some upgrades.

The infamous velociraptors in the blockbuster "Jurassic World" film, already petrifying in their own right, will be made more dangerous by being weaponized.

This was suggested by the scene in the first film where Wu brought with him embryos of the velociraptors as he flies to safety. It is believed that he will find a way for these dinosaurs to be useful to the military, although things can always go awry.

According to reports, the dinosaurs might hit the streets and attack more people in public in "Jurassic World 2," making the disaster less controllable than it was in the first film.

Because of this, the safety of more humans who aren't experienced with the creatures will be in jeopardy in the "Jurassic World" sequel.

"Jurassic World" director Colin Trevorrow will not be helming the sequel, but will instead write the script. Filmmaker Juan Antonio Bayona will succeed him.

Trevorrow said last year to Entertainment Weekly that "Jurassic World 2" will be a "different kind of film" as they will take it to the next level.

"Jurassic World 2" hits the big screen on June 22, 2018.
