'Kingdom Hearts 3' release date rumors, news: Voice actor confirms delay rumors of the next installment?
Video game fans are anxiously waiting for the highly anticipated release of "Kingdom Hearts 3." Although the game developer, Square Enix, has been mum about gameplay and release date details of the next title, some of the people involved in the development have revealed some information that have given so much hope to millions of "Kingdom Hearts" players.
Quinton Flynn, the voice actor who plays Axel in the series, recently posted on his social media account his eagerness to start working for the next installment.
"Speaking of Axel, when is the new Kingdom Hearts going into production? Step it up. Quinton needs to pay his bills!" Flynn wrote on Twitter.
People may think that some part of that statement is meant to be a joke; however, it clearly meant one thing, the development of "Kingdom Hearts 3" has not started yet.
Meanwhile, Jim Cummings, who contributed to the series as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, has already confirmed that the production company has already contacted him to record his parts, as reported by Design and Trend. According to the publication, some parts of the game have already been recorded; however, no one can tell from the developer and publisher's end as to when will the production wraps up.
Crossmap also reported that the game may not come out until next year. They cite the slow progression in the game's development. The tech publication added that Square Enix appears to be focusing more on the development of the "Fantasy XV," which is said to come out this year.
To date, Square Enix has yet to release an official statement regarding the launch date of "Kingdom Hearts 3." Despite the lack of confirmation from the company, the title remains to be available for pre-order on Amazon. The American electronic commerce listed the game's release on Dec. 30 with a price tag of $59.94 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms.
