LG Stylus 2 Plus release date arrives: Specs include 5.7-inch display, fingerprint scanner

South Korean multinational electronics company LG has finally made their Stylus 2 Plus official. It's basically the same as the Stylus 2 that was released in February except the Plus is an improved and better version.
According to a report by 9to5Google, the device's two biggest improvements are the screen and processor. Compared to the Stylus 2 which features a 5.7-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, the Stylus 2 Plus comes with a 5.7-inch Full HD IPS Quantum display with a screen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels.
Droid-Life also detailed that the handset is equipped under the hood with a 1.4GHz octa-core processor paired with either 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM depending on the variety and availability in the region. Gadgets 360 noted that the 2 GB of RAM will be coming along with 16 GB native storage while the 3 GB of RAM variant will be paired with 32 GB of storage space.
As for the camera features, LG has placed in the device a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. However, it's important to take note that other regions are offering the Plus version with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera, which are actually the specs in the original Stylus 2.
Moreover, the device sports a fingerprint scanner that is embedded at the rear. Its operating system is Android 6.0 Marshmallow topped with LG's custom skin. Giving it power is a 3,000mAh removable battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB and Bluetooth 4.1. With a measurement of 155x79.6x7.4mm and a weight of 145 grams, the device also comes with three color variants: Brown, Titan, and Gold.
The LG Stylus 2 Plus also features the stylus Pen Pop, which prompts a popup menu to appear on screen whenever it is removed from its holder. It displays shortcuts of app like Quick Memo, Off Memo and Pop Scanner. There's also the Pen Keeper, which alerts users when the stylus is empty.
