Developer Tarsier Studios and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment will be releasing a horror-adventured theme video game titled "Little Nightmares" soon. A trailer has been released showing a sneak peek at what it is all about.

For those who find the game familiar, their instincts are not mistaken because "Little Nightmares" is not entirely a new concept. As detailed in a report, the game was previously called by Tarsier Studios as "Hunger," which is something that they released back in 2015. But not a lot of fans will be able to tell that only the title has been changed since the developers did not mention it in a press release or in the trailer.

"Little Nightmares" will still follow the adventure of the protagonist named Six who is a little girl stuck in The Maw, which is described to be "a vast, mysterious vessel inhabited by corrupted souls looking for their next meal." The 2.5D platformer game will tell a dark, whimsical tale that will have gamers remembering some of their childhood fears.

Players must help Six escape the nightmarish place and survive through some gruesome enemies and environments that can be found everywhere Six will go. As detailed in Gematsu, there's going to be an eerie-looking dollhouse which serves as a prison and playground. Each room that Six will pass through will be a cell, and threats will be abundant. There are also puzzles that need to be solved.

The video game is said to be packed with an interactive storyline, an impressive sound design, and a unique art style that will have gamers stuck to their consoles as they explore The Maw. Dark secrets also lie in the game as well as monsters that will be chasing after Six.

"Little Nightmares" will digitally launch on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One sometime in spring 2017. Further updates and details will be released soon.
