MacBook Air 2016 release date, specs rumors: MacBook Pro is said to replace MacBook Air?

MacBook Air has been the talk of the town for quite some time now. Many people are expecting it to be released this year; however, Apple is said to be focusing on the release of the Retina MacBook Pros, which will come in 13-inch and 15-inch versions. Many MacBook Air fanatics are going to be disappointed with the latest report as it continues to suggest that the series is already dead.
According to a blog post by Jack March, an Apple observer, the current smaller version of iPad Pro is a good indication that the company decided to debunk the Air series. March said that iPad Air, along with MacBook Air will no longer have new lines. If this is indeed the direction Apple wants to go in, fans are not going to be happy about it.
During the Apple event last March 21, tech freaks expected the company to introduce the MacBook Air 2016 but everybody already knows that the announcement did not happen.
However, these have yet to be confirmed by the Cupertino-based company, which gives fans more hope that Apple will still continue the popular MacBook line.
Meanwhile, new reports are circulating all over the Internet that Apple will introduce the new 13-inch and 15-inch Retina MacBook Pros at the upcoming company event, the Worldwide Developers Conference or WWDC 2016, which will happen in June. Rumor has it that the new device will be a reflection of the 12-inch MacBook that was released in 2015.
The new laptops are said to carry the new Intel Skylake processors, which are also being used by Apple's closest competitors in the market today. Rumor has it that both devices will come with 256 GB internal storage capacity and will run on 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM.
Nothing is certain yet. It is important that fans will take these new rumors with a grain of salt until Apple releases an official statement.
