Apple is expected to introduce a new version of the MacBook Pro soon. There are no official details about it yet as the Cupertino-based tech company has always been careful to keep things under wraps. However, the rumor mill is packed with various reports coming from leaks and some reliable tipsters hinting that the new MacBook Pro may be getting an overhaul.

In a report by MacRumors, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the upcoming new laptop is rumored to come with a lighter weight and a thinner design. It's also said that the laptop may feature a new OLED display touch bar which will be positioned above the keyboard. It may be added to replace the function keys and come with specific functions and settings for certain programs and apps.

Aside from the OLED touch bar, the device is also rumored to come with a Touch ID feature. A video by CNET noted that this particular feature may not only be used for security for unlocking the laptop but also for shopping. Yahoo! Tech cited as well the other rumors saying that Touch ID compatibility will be supported for iPhone and iPad users who pair their mobile device to their Mac.

Moreover, speculations claim that the new MacBook Pro could most likely be equipped with a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C feature. It may also come with a faster Skylake processor and may have two variants — a 12-inch and a 13-inch models.

As of now, none of the specifications have been confirmed so it's best to take recent reports with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, it may not be too long until fans will find out the details as it has been reported that the unveiling of the new MacBook Pro may happen during one of the company's biggest events, the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) this June.
