'Madam Secretary' season 3 spoilers, plot news: Will Elizabeth run as vice president?

Political drama series "Madam Secretary" will be back on CBS soon for its season 3. Fans are already thrilled to know what happens next especially after the cliffhanger from the previous season.
Fans may recall that that season 2 ended with Elizabeth McCord (Tea Loni) getting an offer from President Conrad Dalton (Keith Carradine) to run as vice president during his reelection campaign. Elizabeth is tempted by the offer, but she is faced with a dilemma on whether to take the bite or not.
Spoilers reveal that in season 3, Elizabeth will be torn between work and her family. Being the vice president is no easy task, and if she does get the position, her schedule and White House life will surely get in the way of her family life.
Speculations are rife that her marriage with her husband, Henry McCord (Tim Daly), will hit a rough road which could potentially lead to a separation. Fortunately, some rumors say that despite the little turbulence in their union, the couple will work things out and mend their relationship. An event in their son Jason's (Evan Roe) school is said to take place, and it's going to be where the two will finally fix things.
It's still to be known, though, whether the Secretary of State will run for vice president or not. Aside from family life, spoilers say that a new group called Boko Haram will be making an appearance in the new season and bring some obstacles along the way for Elizabeth.
Reports also say that executive producer and actor Morgan Freeman will be reprising his role in the series as Chief Justice Wilbourne. He first appeared in an episode last year in season 2. CBS News' Jane Pauley will also be joining the show as herself to interview Elizabeth.
"Madam Secretary" season 3 will start airing new episodes on Oct. 2 on CBS.
