Wii U has a lot of very interesting video games released the past few years, but perhaps one of the most popular and engaging original Wii games is "Mario Kart 8." The new twist to the classic "Super Mario" game franchise has given Nintendo a big push in profits, and it will not be surprising if the electronic gaming company decides to offer more additions to the game to boost its appeal to the players. Although a new downloadable content or DLC may already be on the way as Nintendo UK gave a hint regarding a huge "Mario Kart 8" surprise.

It has been a while when Nintendo released an original DLC for "Mario Kart 8," and some gamers have been wanting to see something new and exciting in the racing game. While many players are still very much hooked up with the game, there are signs that new contents will be added to "Mario Kart 8" in the near future. In fact, Nintendo UK posted a telling statement on their Twitter page just recently and it might be pertaining to the anticipated new DLC for "Mario Kart 8."

The caption of Nintendo UK's tweeted photo says "Good things come to those who wait," and the Mario Kart 8 hashtag was included in the end, Tech Times reported. This gave the fans of the video game higher hopes that Nintendo will in fact release new add-ons to the base game.

Furthermore, Nintendo UK's photo shows Toad and Wario being hit by a train from the older video game called "Mario Kart 64." The still shot is specifically from the game's Kalimari Desert track. Many fans believe Nintendo is trying to tease the "Mario Kart" fans with the return of Kalimari Desert track in "Mario Kart 8." It was present in the previous iteration of the "Mario Kart" game franchise, although the current game dropped it and featured new racing locations.

It was thought that Nintendo Uk's recent tweet might actually pertain to the release of the new DLC for "Mario Kart 8," which will be the third content pack for the game overall. Also, the upcoming DLC might feature Kalimari Desert once again with a new and improved look, matching the present "Mario Kart" environment.
